Over the past four years, Rob has provided bold leadership to move the County forward by:
- Creating a housing trust fund and securing over $20M to fight the affordable housing crisis.
- Advocating for the Lowcountry Rapid Transit system – the first true mass transit system in South Carolina.
- Tightening development standards to prevent flooding.
- Establishing the County’s first Paid Parental Leave Policy to provide much-needed assistance to County employees and their families.
- Supporting bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, to improve safety and enhance connectivity.
- Protecting historic settlement communities against displacement and overdevelopment.
